If you are undetectable you cannot pass on HIV

It’s true – you can’t pass on HIV if you are undetectable! If you take your treatment properly, it can reduce HIV to such low levels that the virus can no longer be detected in normal blood tests and can’t be passed on via sex. This is also known as undetectable = untransmittable (U=U).
