Looking after your mental health
Sex and relationships
A mental health issue does not need to be really bad for you to ask for help. Even if you’re just having a difficult day or week, it’s better to do something about it, and that includes asking for support rather than dealing with it on your own. Who you speak to is up to you – it could be someone close to you that you trust, like your partner, family member or friend. Or it could be a doctor, peer supporter, online forum or support group.
It’s especially important to ask for help if how you are feeling, thinking or acting is stopping you from living your life as you want to. Why suffer in silence when talking could be just the thing you need to start feeling better?
