Inclusive sexual healthcare for LGBT+ people
HIV programming and best practice
Getting tested for HIV is one of the best ways you can look after yourself. And it is the only way to end the worry of not knowing if you have HIV.
If you test positive for HIV, you can start treatment straightaway. And when your treatment starts to work, your health will be protected and you will not be able to pass HIV on. And if you don’t have HIV, you can work out what you want to do to keep it that way, like using condoms or PrEP.
Not testing for HIV won’t change whether you have HIV or not. But it will leave you in the dark and put your health at risk. That’s why knowing your HIV status is something to be celebrated – it puts you in control of your health and your future!
